    But I think the main reason for investing in certain commodities would be as a hedging tactic and central banks to have a back up sort of like strategy for currency stability.

    I find this video very helpful. Thank you for the author for explaining the basic means what's stands behind the number. In my opinion, this is the most valuable part, as there are tones of sources which can show me how to calculate, but not what it really means. Absolutely amazing video, I have finally realised that as a beginner in the financial investment market, you can achieve close to nothing yourself because you still have a lot to learn. Trading with a professional broker is more profitable and my advice for beginners is to always take advantage of that.

      Instead of timing the market, you should try to diversify your portfolio in order to get a dollar-cost average when it’s time to retire. Keep in mind that you don't need a ton of money to invest. Investing in small amounts can build long-term wealth too!

    Sadly, retail banks do not simply take depositors money and lends it out! Fractional reserve banking means they only keep 10% and lend out the remaining 90%, which is then lent out again, and the cycle continues until £1000 deposit resulted in £9000 loans in the banking system, underpinned by the lender of last resort, Joe Public paying taxes! It is a legalised ponzi scheme whereby the bankers get richer and Joe Public gets poorer with every generation! And Investment Banks gamble with our money - they get to keep the profits and the tax payer gets to keep the "Quantitative Easing" funded by taxes and fiat money, which is an indirect tax as well, because of it's lack of intrinsic value and inflationary devaluation!

    These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

      Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

    • @corrySledd
      @corrySledd Рік тому

      @@Harperrr.99 Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 930k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2018, and I return at least $58k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

    question 1) what happens to the underlying assets that the bonds usually given on? for instance in 2008 the houses would the ownership of the properties be passed on up the chain to the insurance bank issuing the cds. 2) is there a derivative market for cds, where a third party without owning the bond can pay a premium to the insurance bank for payment if the bonds fail. even if they don't own the bonds. asking as saw somewhere someone say insurance banks sold cds several times over on the same securities like a derivative trade.
